As Congress labored furiously to ensure that women have equal access to federal bathrooms, insurgents in Afghanistan this month launched a series of bold strikes on U.S. and NATO bases in Afghanistan. The Potty Parity Act is proceeding apace.
The Obama administration's response to the upsurge in violence in Afghanistan?
They launched an investigation into allegations that a number of American soldiers were responsible for the "unlawful deaths" of at least three Afghan civilians. This, despite the recent unanimous acquittal of three heroic Navy SEALS who were swiftly exonerated by a jury after being accused of, gasp, slapping one of the most dangerous terrorist detainees in the world. Who, by the way, the SEALS heroically captured. Thank-you, Navy SEALS. No update yet on the terrorist's hurt lip.

As our young men are fighting and dying in Afghanistan, our current elected officials remain hard at work.
Their most recent work product includes a proposal for a new medal to reward our troops for "courageous restraint." You got that? A medal for not killing the enemy.
Of course most of these medals would, of necessity, be awarded posthumously.
Maybe by the time the first new medal is awarded, the "enemy" will actually be defined.
The only concrete message so far from Washington, via Attorney General Eric Holder, is that the enemy is NOT radical Islamic terrorists. Whew!

The month of May could very well be likened to a chapter out of Alice in Wonderland.
As oil from the BP catastrophe in the Gulf of Mexico continued gushing into the ocean (day 36 and counting), the Obama administration was otherwise occupied - holding a gala State dinner for Mexican President Calderone.
A good time was had by all, although extensive media reports suggested that one of the guests had a dress quite similar to Michelle's.

To be absolutely fair, Obama did appoint a commission to study how to deal with the BP catastrophe. Just because Obama is the largest recipient of BP campaign cash for the last twenty years doesn't mean he's in their pocket.
No word yet on when or if the commission will release its expert findings.

Meanwhile, Obama blithely continued to side with foreign countries against the U.S., as he bravely spoke truth to power, teaming up with President Calderone to condemn the newly passed immigration law in Arizona.
Although the Arizona law mirrors federal law, thanks to Obama's TelePrompTer and a derelict media, millions of Americans now believe that upholding the Constitution is racist.
And I guess its now OK for foreign leaders to criticize America from the White House lawn.

Also this month: Unfazed by the 368 point plunge in the stock market, which occurred the same day the Senate passed a financial regulation bill, Obama took to the airwaves to announce an executive mandate.
Bypassing Congress, Obama unilaterally declared tougher, expanded fuel emission standards for cars and trucks. Damn the economy, Mother Earth is more important. Right?

As world stocks tumbled, Obama responded by granting unions expanded power, making it easier for airline and railroad workers to unionize. That unions are one of the reasons behind this year's economic meltdown was left unreported.

As Bangkok was being burned by deadbeats protesting cuts in social spending, Congress remained totally focused on a slew of new and expanded social spending measures, costing a mere $200 billion. They hope to get it to Obama for his approval in the next three weeks, well before those pesky November elections.

Congress appeared unfazed by a new NATO report that identified Iran as a "Major Article 5 Threat." They were otherwise engaged crafting a formal apology to American Indian tribes for "ill conceived policies" and acts of violence committed by them."

As North Korea threatened war and sent 50,000 troops to the border, the House remained busy passing a beer resolution. House Resolution 1297 officially supports "the goals and ideals of American Beer Craft Week."
North Korea and American alcoholics rejoiced.

As the new jobs numbers came out showing another "unexpected" increase in the jobless rate, the Democrats were busy crafting another $190 billion raid on taxpayers under the guise of a "jobs bill." That their last "jobs bill" exacerbated the jobless problem didn't deter them.

As the world hurtles towards the edge of the cliff, the United States remains focused on the really important things.
· AG Andrew Cuomo was successful in forcing clothing retailers to hire transgenders. And
· Sen. Robert Menendez is busy urging the Major League Baseball Players Assoc. to boycott Arizona.

And let's not forget the states. California, which is one step away from goingbankrupt, was busy passing a bill that would require "diversity" in California pension plans. The very same pension plans that will soon put taxpayers on the hook for millions.

I could go on, but I'm starting to scare myself. This article is not fiction. Nor is it satire. It is a recap of the month of May in this, our United States.
Is it just me, or is something seriously out of whack in our country?

This will not make your day
HISPANIC LEADERS SPEAK OUT!
Augustin Cebada, Brown Berets; "Go back to Boston! Go back to Plymouth Rock, Pilgrims! Get out! We are the future. You are old and tired. Go on. We have beaten you. Leave like beaten rats. You old white people. It is your duty to die . . Through love of having children, we are going to take over.

Richard Alatorre, Los Angeles City Council. "They're afraid we're going to take over the governmental institutions and other institutions. They're right. We will take them over . . . We are here to stay."

Excelsior, the national newspaper of Mexico, "The American Southwest seems to be slowly returning to the jurisdiction of Mexico without firing a single shot."

Professor Jose Angel Gutierrez, University of Texas; "We have an aging white America. They are not making babies. They are dying. The explosion is in our population . . . I love it. They are shitting in their pants with fear. I love it."

Art Torres, Chairman of the California Democratic Party, "Remember 187--proposition to deny taxpayer funds for services to non-citizens--was the last gasp of white America in California."

Gloria Molina, Los Angeles County Supervisor, "We are politicizing every single one of these new citizens that are becoming citizens of this country . . . I gotta tell you that a lot of people are saying, "I'm going to go out there and vote because I want to pay them back."

Mario Obledo, California Coalition of Hispanic Organizations and California State Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare under Governor Jerry Brown, also awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Bill Clinton, "California is going to be a Hispanic state. Anyone who doesn't like it should leave."

Jose Pescador Osuna, Mexican Consul General, "We are practicing 'La Reconquista' in California."

Professor Fernando Guerra, Loyola Marymount University; "We need to avoid a white backlash by using codes understood by Latinos . . . "

Are these just the words of a few extremists? Consider that we could fill up many pages with such quotes. Also, consider that these are mainstream Mexican leaders.

THE U.S. VS MEXICO:
On February 15, 1998, the U.S. and Mexican soccer teams met at the Los Angeles Coliseum. The crowd was overwhelmingly pro-Mexican even though most lived in this country. They booed during the National Anthem and U.S. flags were held upside down. As the match progressed, supporters of the U.S. team were insulted, pelted with projectiles, punched and spat upon. Beer and trash were thrown at the U.S. players before and after the match. The coach of the U.S. team, Steve Sampson said, "This was the most painful experience I have ever had in this profession."

Did you know that immigrants from Mexico and other non-European countries can come to this country and get preferences in jobs, education, and government contracts? It's called affirmative action or racial privilege. The Emperor of Japan or the President of Mexico could migrate here and immediately be eligible for special rights unavailable for Americans of European descent. Recently, a vote was taken in the U.S. Congress to end this practice. It was defeated. Every single Democratic senator except Ernest Hollings voted to maintain special privileges for Hispanic, Asian and African immigrants. They were joined by thirteen Republicans. Bill Clinton and Al Gore have repeatedly stated that they believe that massive immigration from countries like Mexico is good. They have also backed special privileges for these immigrants.

Corporate America has signed on to the idea that minorities and third world immigrants should get special, privileged status. Some examples are Exxon, Texaco, Merrill Lynch, Boeing, Paine Weber, Starbucks and many more.

DID YOU KNOW?:
Did you know that Mexico regularly intercedes on the side of the defense in criminal cases involving Mexican nationals? Did you know that Mexico hasNEVER extradited a Mexican national accused of murder in the U.S. in spite of agreements to do so? According to the L.A. Times, Orange County, California is home to 275 gangs with 17,000 members; 98% of which are Mexican and Asian. How's your county doing?

According to a New York Times article dated May 19, 1994, 20 years after the great influx of legal immigrants from Southeast Asia, 30% are still on welfare compared to 8% of households nationwide. A Wall Street Journal editorial dated December 5, 1994 quotes law enforcement officials as stating that Asian mobsters are the "greatest criminal challenge the country faces." Not bad for a group that is still under 5% of the population.

Is education important to you? Here are the words of a teacher who spent over 20 years in the Los Angeles School system. "Imagine teachers in classes containing 30-40 students of widely varying attention spans and motivation, many of whom aren't fluent in English. Educators seek learning materials likely to reach the majority of students and that means fewer words and math problems and more pictures and multicultural references."

WHEN I WAS YOUNG:
When I was young, I remember hearing about the immigrants that came through Ellis Island. They wanted to learn English. They wanted to breath free. They wanted to become Americans. Now too many immigrants come here with demands. They demand to be taught in their own language. They demand special privileges--affirmative action. They demand ethnic studies that glorify their culture.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?:
Send copies of this letter to at least two other people, 100 would be even better. Help us get the word out

A POSTING FROM A GREAT WATCHDOG WHO WANTS US INFORMED
SOMETHING IN THE AIR
It's tea party vs. establishment in fight to remove senator
Court expected to rule whether voters can boot member of Congress
It's the upstart tea party activism versus the establishment in a court case in New Jersey that could bode ill for members of Congress who raise the ire of their constituents by voting against their desires, and a decision is expected soon.
The case being watched by activists coast to coast is a proposal to recall Sen. Robert Menendez, a Democrat who voted for the Democrats' health law and various federal bailout spending plans to the frustration of New Jersey voters.
A tea party-backed organization proposed a recall vote on Menendez, whose term expires in 2012. But state officials summarily refused permission for the vote to take place.
Want to understand the tea-party movement and see what its adherents really believe? Check out their signs!
This week, the state Supreme Court heard arguments in the issue, on which the U.S. Constitution is silent and the state constitution specifies procedures for recalls of federal officials.
Menendez, trying to counter the recall effort, dispatched aide Afshin Mohamadi to declare, "Mainstream New Jerseyans believe deeply in the U.S. Constitution that for more than 200 years has made ours the greatest form of government in world history. This attack on the Constitution undermines our uniquely American system of democracy and will be contested."
However, those who want Menendez removed point out the Constitution does not address the recall of senators, who originally were named by state legislatures, not a popular vote. Also, the Tenth Amendment reserves to the states all responsibilities not specifically given to the federal government in the Constitution.
In 1993 voters in New Jersey decided by a split of 3-1 to add to their own state constitution the provision, "The people reserve unto themselves the power to recall, after at least one year of service, any elected official in this state or representing this state in the United States Congress."
The high court, which is expected to rule soon, accepted a friend-of-the-court brief from a coalition arguing on behalf of the right of the citizens of New Jersey to not only adopt the provision but follow through with the action it allows.
The brief was filed by the Conservative Legal Defense and Education Fund, Institute on the Constitution, U.S. Justice Foundation, Gun Owners Foundation, Gun Owners of America Inc., Vision to America, the Lincoln Institute for Research and Education, Public Advocate of the United States, Inc., U.S. Border Control, U.S. Border Control Foundation, American Coalition for Competitive Trade, and the Constitution Party Committee.
"The power to recall senators is reserved to the people by the Tenth and Seventeenth Amendments of the U.S. Constitution," the brief argues.
It notes that "qualifications" for the post are set by the federal Constitution, but the "mode" of electing members of the Senate "has never been vested in any 'federal authority.'"
"Menendez would have this court rule that the powers conferred upon the House and Senate to 'judge . elections, returns and qualifications of its own members' would limit the power of the people to elect 'whom they please to govern them' by denying to the people any power to recall an elected member of Congress," the brief argues.
The argument cites a letter from George Washington, who wrote that representatives of the people, when they refuse to work in the people's "best interests," "can and undoubtedly will be, recalled."
Gary Kreep of the United States Justice Foundation told WND voters in New Jersey passed a law addressing the issue, in the absence of national constitutional language.
"If the recall goes forward, it's not like he's out of office. People just have the right to decide," he said.
But instead of responding to the dissatisfaction that is apparent, Menendez is "using every legal maneuver" to avoid responding to voters, he said.
"He's saying, 'Nah, I don't care what the voters think, I'm above the law,'" Kreep said.
New Jersey Tea Parties United and the Sussex County Tea Party originally worked together to recall Menendez.
But the secretary of state, Nina Wells, refused to cooperate. A three-judge appellate panel then ruled earlier this year the tea partiers' notice of intent to recall Menendez must be accepted.
The tea partiers explained to the New Jersey Herald their senator "does not represent the people the way his oath requires that he does," as evidenced by his votes on Medicare, health care and "extravagant, excessive multimillion-dollar projects that offered little or no short-term economic benefits."
No U.S. senator, however, has ever been subjected to a recall vote.
If the tea partiers are given to go-ahead, they would have 320 days to obtain the signatures of 25 percent of registered voters in New Jersey, roughly 1.3 million names, to place a recall on the ballot.
The effort to recall a senator is not entirely new, nor is it limited to New Jersey.
Peter Ferrara, a lawyer for the American Civil Rights Union, which is helping the tea partiers with their case, told the Washington Times nine states, including 12 Democratic senators who are not up for re-election otherwise, could all be on the ballot with a recall.
"Given what they're doing on health care this year," he added, "that's just going to be a huge boost to the recall effort."
The other states that could attempt recalls of their congressional representatives are Colorado, Michigan, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, Washington, Wisconsin and Louisiana, where an effort is already underway to oust Democratic Sen. Mary L. Landrieu.
A Republican, Rep. Ahn Cao, also heard the stirrings of recall when some Louisiana citizens who objected to his vote against the stimulus bill sought to remove him last year. The attempt failed to generate enough signatures before the state's 180-day time limit expired.
WE NEED TO HAVE THIS AMENDMENT TO IOWA'S CONSTITUTION.

NEED TO PAY ATTENTION TO THIS IRAN AND NORTH KOREA MARCH TO WAR
War is coming and Emperor Obama fiddles while the free world burns Iran and North Korea March On John Bolton, Wall Street Journal
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704113504575264270768612284.html
Last week, while meandering toward a fourth U.N. Security Council sanctions resolution against Iran, Washington was blindsided by the revival of a previously discarded plan to enrich some of Iran's uranium to higher levels for use in the Tehran research reactor. This proposal-a good deal for Iran when it was proposed last year by the misguided Obama administration-is even better in its latest iteration and does nothing to stop Iran's uranium enrichment program.
The Iranian enrichment deal was brokered by Brazil and Turkey, two of the 10 current nonpermanent Security Council members, and it could pose difficulties for getting the council to adopt another resolution on sanctions. To forestall the debilitating effects of the Brazil-Turkey deal, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton promptly circulated to other council membersthe draft of a sanctions resolution the five permanent members and Germany had spent months negotiating.
Unfortunately, the damage was done. Turkey announced that negotiations on sanctions should cease for 30 days and Brazil flatly proclaimed it would not even discuss the draft resolution. Since one good turn deserves another, China and Russia will now graciously acknowledge the Brazil-Turkey initiative and insist that the other permanent members enter serious consultations regarding the draft of the permanent five. Thus, having negotiated intensely for months with Russia and China, Mrs. Clinton can look forward to another opportunity to negotiate intensely with both them and their surrogates.
The pending, wholly inadequate sanctions in the draft resolution will almost certainly grow weaker. Most significantly, a new effort to embargo major conventional weapons sales to Iran does not prohibit selling Iran air defense capabilities. Thus, Russia can still deliver its sophisticated S-300 system, which can defeat a possible Israeli air attack on Iran's nuclear program and could readily be used against U.S. planes if Iran later threatened U.S. forces in the Persian Gulf.
In addition, key Russian entities, including Rosoboron export, its international arms-sales agency, were released from unilateral U.S. sanctions as part of a desperate effort to get Moscow's support. According to some press reports, China received analogous treatment, including avoiding sanctions for nuclear deals with Pakistan.
This is where South Korea's conclusion, announced Friday, that the North had torpedoed its corvette Cheonan in an unprovoked attack, complicates President Obama's life. Mrs. Clinton has several times since then properly supported Seoul and talked tough about responding to Pyongyang's breach of the 1953 Armistice Agreement. Washington and Seoul must react vigorously.
Although not directly related to the sinking of the Cheonan, the U.S. should again declare the North as a state sponsor of terrorism, reversing one of the Bush administration's most shameful acts in delisting it. South Korea should end all economic activity in the North, and the U.S., Japan (also currently a nonpermanent Security Council member) and South Korea should demand that the council ratchet up existing North Korea sanctions. Joint defensive military preparations, just announced, are also appropriate.
