Top Senate Dem Admits Un-American Health Bill Was to Address "Mal-Distribution of Income"
Now Max Baucus tells us: the health care overhaul America was just forced to endure was the government's attempt to fix the "mal-distribution of income." It's an admission that sadly comes after the bill has passed and been signed by President Obama. But it's better late than never.
While the acknowledgment likely wouldn't have stopped the legislation because chances are it was common knowledge behind closed doors, at least the admission has now become public.
And it proves the point the whole exercise had nothing to do with Americans' health and more to do with the Marxist concept of "redistributing" wealth.
According to FoxNews.com, Baucus said:
"Too often, much of late, the last couple three years, the mal-distribution of income in American is gone up way too much, the wealthy are getting way, way too wealthy and the middle income class is left behind," he said. "Wages have not kept up with increased income of the highest income in America. This legislation will have the effect of addressing that mal-distribution of income in America."
Excuse me Senator, but who the hell are you to decide who is "too wealthy?"
Given this claptrap, you'd be a perfect candidate for a Fidel Castro or Hugo Chavez administration - after all, Castro did just call ObamaCare a "miracle."
Or would Castro and Chavez fit right into the leadership in Washington, DC these days?
Regardless, all doubts that the Democrats' takeover of health care was little more than a power grab in the name of "social justice" have been confirmed.
And it should be all the more reason to push for a repeal of this fundamentally un-American takeover.
DESPITE RECORD LEVELS OF ISLAMIC TERROR IN U.S., FBI RAIDS CHRISTIAN GROUPS
These raids and the alleged Christian character of the militia, as well as its targeting Muslims, is a mainstream media dream come true -- a few years back the BBC featured an inversion-of-reality drama about Christians beheading Muslims, and now, lo and behold, it seems to have come to life.
For years to come this "Hutaree" will be thrown in the face of anyone who takes note of jihad activity in the United States and around the world, as if this group in itself balances and equals the innumerable Islamic groups that are waging armed jihad all around the world today.
The point will be the same as the one Tim McVeigh has had to shoulder alone all these years (even though he wasn't really a Christian at all, and did not justify the Oklahoma City bombing by reference to Christian teaching):
that every religion has its "extremists," and that therefore it would be bad form to subject Islam to greater critical scrutiny, and Muslims to greater law enforcement scrutiny.
Everyone does it, don't you see? Al-Qaeda, Hamas, Hizballah, Jemaah Islamiyah, al-Shabaab, and on and on and on -- yes, but the Hutaree!
Meanwhile, why doesn't the Detroit News include in this story quotations from Christian leaders explaining how they condemn this "Christian militia," and that Christianity doesn't condone such violence, and that these militiamen have twisted and hijacked their peaceful faith?
After all, they always include such quotes from Muslim leaders in every story about Islamic jihad terror activity. Why is the practice different in this case?
Yet instead of the mainstream moderate Christians (heh) that we would have every reason to expect the Detroit News to feature in this story, Hamas-linked CAIR shows up toward the end of this article, playing the victim card with gusto, so that as the arrests were announced, "audible gaps" (yikes!) sounded in their 10th anniversary banquet hall.
The claiming of victim status, complete with gasping prospective victims, is artful -- and of course the Detroit News says nothing about CAIR's links to Hamas, the jihad-related arrests and convictions of several of its officials, and the rest of this group's unsavory record.
A responsible reporter might have asked Dawud Walid if he thought this alleged Christian militia group was a "backlash" after the sharp increase in jihad terror activity in the U.S. in the last year, but why should the Detroit News have responsible reporters on staff when no other mainstream media outlet does?
And as for the FBI and the JTTF, are they investigating the Muslim camps around the country where firearms and paramilitary training are known to be going on?
Are they doing so with the same energy and resources that they obviously have devoted to the investigation of this Christian militia? If not, why not?
If the allegations against this group are true, they richly deserve to be raided and arrested and shut down.
But there have been allegations made against Islamic compounds in the U.S. that are quite similar, and nothing has been done. Why is that?

At least seven people, including some from Michigan, have been arrested in raids by a FBI-led Joint Terrorism Task Force in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana as part of an investigation into an Adrian-based Christian militia group, a person familiar with the matter said. [...]
Lackomar said he heard from other militia members that the FBI targeted the Hutaree after its members made threats of violence against Islamic organizations. [...]
One of the Hutaree members called a Michigan militia leader for assistance Saturday after federal agents had already began their raid, Lackomar said, but the militia member -- who is of Islamic decent and had heard about the threats -- declined to offer help.
That Michigan militia leader is now working with federal officials to provide information on the Hutaree member for the investigation, Lackomar said Sunday. [...]
Dawud Walid, executive director of the Council on Islamic-American [sic!] Relations of Michigan, made an announcement Sunday during the group's 10th anniversary banquet about receiving a call from a network journalist about the alleged threat against Muslims.
"Don't allow this news to scare you away from practicing your faith," said Walid.
Audible gaps [sic!] were heard throughout the banquet hall when the news was announced. Walid said he will call local authorities about more information on the allegations.
He urged local Muslims to recommitt [sic] themselves to their faith in light of the accusations.

Now the organization has posted on YouTube a "chilling" training video provided to CAN by an unnamed law enforcement source about the Muslims of America headquarters in Hancock, New York.
Muslims of America reportedly is the name Jamaat ul-Fuqra, believed to have been involved in the beheading of reporter Daniel Pearl, uses in the U.S.
The video includes segments of training exercises in which one person appears to practice a maneuver that would slit the throat of a victim. There are episodes of what appears to be automatic weapons fire at a target and incidents in which a handgun is held point-blank at a "victim's" head
The video shows women marching in military formation, scaling walls, engaging in hand-to-hand combat and also reveals a Muslim confirming that the organization's own census revealed that Muslims are a majority in the United States and they are claiming it as their own.
The speaker states, "We are 100 percent sure that Muslims are the majority in America."
He continues, "Our Islamic political party has based its manifesto on this fact. We want to declare once and for all that America is our country."
According to CAN, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in 2005 warned about Jamaat ul-Fuqra, a Pakistani-based organization that "had the capacity to attack" America.
The U.S. State Department's 1998 "Patterns of Global Terrorism" report notes the organization "seeks to purify Islam through violence."
The report continued, "Members have purchased isolated rural compounds in North America to live communally, practice their faith and insulate themselves from Western culture. Fuqra members have attacked a variety of targets that they view as enemies of Islam."
CAN, led by Martin Mawyer, has researched Muslims of America for years and has provided its video to the FBI, State Department and Homeland Security.
To date, there has been no response from the government, the group said.
Mawyer told WND the political correctness America has adopted ultimately will be costly.
The hands of law enforcement and investigators are tied at this point, he said, because members of the organization are part of "a minority religion," "they are African-American" "and in this particular case, are women."
"Gilani has stated he is preparing his members to the Soldiers of Allah, and he's set up the most advanced guerrilla warfare training camps," he said. "He's being true to his word.
"If the evidence is right in front of our face and we have the words from the leader," Mawyer said. "I don't know how we continue to close our eyes and be blinded by such obvious affront to American values, the Constitution and our way of life."
The organization's "Homegrown Jihad" video includes a chilling scene of Jamaat ul-Fuqra's leader Sheikh Mubarak Gilani telling followers to "act like you're his friend. Then kill him."
According to the Religion of Peace website, there have been more than 250 jihad attacks by Muslims around the globe - including two inside the U.S. - in just the last two months. Obama may not veto UN Security Council Resolution condemning Israel

The US is considering abstaining from a possible UN Security Council resolution against Israeli settlements in East Jerusalem, sources suggest to the BBC.
The possibility surfaced at talks in Paris last week between a senior US official and Qatar's foreign minister.
The official said the US would "seriously consider abstaining" if the issue of Israeli settlements was put to the vote, a diplomat told the BBC.
US officials in Washington have not confirmed the report. [...]

The reported exchange between the US official and Qatar's foreign minister came to light during a meeting at an Arab League summit in the Libyan town of Sirte.
A diplomatic source told the BBC that Qatar's Foreign Minister, Sheikh Hamad Bin Jasim Al Thani - who is also the prime minister - had recently met an official high up in the Obama administration during a visit to France.
During their talks, Sheikh Hamad asked the US official whether Washington would guarantee not to veto a UN Security Council resolution that was critical of Israel's ongoing settlement construction in East Jerusalem.
The diplomat said the US official had replied that the current feeling in Washington was that they would "seriously consider abstention".
An Egyptian official is said to have confirmed his knowledge of the US position during a meeting at the Arab League summit, which was held behind closed doors. [...]

Serious analysis on the state of America cannot be found outside the blogs. Americans must go across the pond to get away from the relentless pounding and shilling of O-ganda. Niles Gardiner writes in the Telegraph, UK:
Looking past the smoke and mirrors spin wafting out of the White House, the future looks far more grim.
Under Barack Obamathe United States is drowning under $13 trillion of debt, with the health care bill likely to significantly add to that burden.
The $787 billion stimulus package has failed to create jobs, and unemployment levels are at their highest in a generation, with one out of every ten Americans out of work.
The housing market remains extremely weak, with little sign of a significant recovery.
On the world stage, Barack Obama has looked like a deer in the headlights in the face of Iran's nuclear ambitions, the biggest state-based threat to world security since the end of the Cold War.
The president has no real plan in place to stop the Mullahs in their tracks, and seems content to live with a genocidal, Islamist, nuclear-armed Tehran.
He has also shown little interest in developing an effective global missile defense system to protect the United States, or increasing levels of US defense spending.
He has invested a great deal of his energy on the dream of a nuclear-free world, while all around him hostile states are developing their nuclear weapons programmes.
As Nicolas Sarkozy aptly put it, referring to Obama's stunning naiveté - "we live in the real world, not in a virtual one".
At the same time, President Obama has weakened America's alliances while kowtowing to America's enemies. Great Britain and Israel, Washington's closest allies in Europe and the Middle East, have been treated with sneering contempt, while hostile regimes have been greeted with the extended hand of friendship.
When a great nation turns on its own friends and embraces its adversaries you know there is something fundamentally wrong with its leadership.
There is more than just the whiff of arrogance surrounding the Obama administration. It is shrouded in an imperial triumphalism that is blind to criticism and failures of leadership while Rome begins to burn in the background.
In reality, Barack Obama is ushering in a period of American decline, both economically and in terms of world leadership, a decline that is wholly self-inflicted.
President Obama's dangerous emphasis upon big government solutions in a nation, whose historic success rests upon economic freedom and limited government, is destined to fail.
And his refusal to invest in America's long-term security and her alliances, as well as confront her enemies on the world stage, will make the United States weaker and more vulnerable to attack.
The damage inflicted now to American global power will take years, even decades to repair. It must eventually be reversed by future presidents, not only for the sake of the American people, but for the sake of the free world.
Tea Partiers protest outside N.D. Dem convention Tea Party activists from North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota protested health care reform, government spending, immigration and other issues Saturday in a rally outside the Fargo Civic Center, site of the North Dakota Democratic-NPL Party convention.
More than 100 people gathered in a light sleet and near-freezing temperatures by the Ten Commandments monument, holding American flags and signs that read "We don't want Obama Care," "They're Not Listening," "Obama Lies, Granddaddy dies" and "Bye Bye Obamaroy."
"To me, they stepped on that Constitution last week" when they voted for the health care bill, said Ross Ueckert, Beach, N.D. "They voted it in, and that makes me angry."
Fargo radio talk show host Scott Hennen emceed the event, castigating the North Dakota congressional delegation for not holding town hall meetings and for not appearing at the rally.
"Come on out and join the party," Hennen urged Democratic conventioneers, looking on from inside the Civic.
"The Democratic Party can meet in a phone booth," he added, drawing chuckles.
"They tell us this is going to make our health care better," said conservative blogger Rob Port, Minot. "Yet, they can't even run the post office."
At least five Fargo police officers were visible on duty as extra security for the convention during the rally, which was peaceful.
Bruce Thimmig of Fargo said he and other Tea Party followers were ordinary people speaking out.
"They're not the elites or the office holders," he said. "Politically, it would be wise to listen."
Thimmig said he was unhappy with taxation and the erosion of personal freedoms.
"I don't feel like people have any privacy anymore," he said.
Lianne Zeltinger of Minot started protesting two weeks ago in Bismarck.
The 60-year-old held up a sign directed at North Dakota's U.S. Rep. Earl Pomeroy, reading "Earl, even you can smell a dead rat. Health Reform. And U didn't bury it."
"I believe in individual freedom. I'm not an extremist," she said. "I see this country going down the tubes."
Carl Hedman of Ellendale, N.D., carried a broom to "sweep 'em out" of office, he said of the Democratic congressional incumbents.
"They looked me in the face and said they would not support abortion, and then they voted for it," Hedman said.
J.D. Donaghe, Kenmare, N.D., a musician and political candidate, said he'd talked with reporters earlier.
"(The media) wanted to know if we were going to get violent, if we were going to go in there with our pitchforks and stuff and take over," he said.
"I made it clear to them that the Democratic voters in that convention are not our enemies. We're not here to protest them.
They're our fellow citizens. It's the Democratic leadership in there that's leading them astray - the same way they're leading us astray - that we're here to protest.
"The Bible says when the blind lead the blind, they all fall in the ditch," Donaghe said, drawing laughs.
Meredith Pickett, communications director for the Democratic-NPL Party, said the protesters had a right to their opinions.
"But we have hundreds of people inside who are supporting our delegation because our delegation supports North Dakotans.
"We know that the health care bill is the right thing to do. Doctors, nurses, hospital associations, the AARP, they all support the delegation as well," she said. "We had a real good celebration of our delegation's historic vote, and we're really excited."

A National Ceasar Chavez Day? How Big Labor Hurt The Little People
March 31st is Cesar Chávez Day. In California and six other states, government offices are closed. At my college, Claremont McKenna and the Claremont Colleges, we celebrate Cesar Chavez for one full month.
(It is widely known that even white liberals tire after that much self-flagellation - although how much they can take is still a matter of dispute.)
If that month long celebration seems excessive, it is because it is. If history is any indication, however, it may not be that long until all Americans must submit to Chavez Day because Barack Obama, as a presidential candidate, thought that it ought to be a federal holiday.
It's tough to tell how much Obama was pandering to a certain wing of the Hispanic vote and how much he sincerely believes in the struggle of La Raza, but I submit to you, dear reader, that Cesar Chavez Day ought not to have been a holiday in the first place.
There are several myths about Chávez that deserve explanation, clarification, and explication, but the most pressing of these myths is that Chavez helped Latino fruit pickers get a living wage. He did no such thing.
Truth: Chavez didn't even end up helping United Farm Workers of California (UFWOC) workers. Although he himself did not use violence, he looked the other way when his supporters roughed up the illegal immigrants the growers brought in.
Chavez even condoned the deportation of people who refused to unionize. (For more on this, see Steve Sailer's excellent article in The American Conservative.)
In the end, he robbed the laborers of wages - you don't get paid when you are striking all the time - that helped drive small growers out of business and forcing them to sell to larger agribusinesses, which led almost inexorably to the mechanization of the fruit industry.
Chavez, as a union boss, faced the classic union dilemma: how do I drive up wages quickly but guarantee that the labor you claim to represent won't be replaced?
Chavez never came up with a good answer to this dilemma.
Instead he demanded that everyone in Great Central Valley in California be unionized. When the growers didn't like this deal, they found alternatives around it.
John Gregory Dunne, the famous fiction writer, recounts how easy it was to ignore Chavez and the federal government.
The strike against Guimarra [one of the major grape growing companies] proved one thing - there wasn't a picket line in the world that could force a grower to agree to a contract. It was next to impossible to certify a strike.
Workers who were pulled out were readily replaced by scabs and green-carders-foreign nationals (in this case Mexicans) with U.S. work permits, or green cards. The pickers were usually out of town working at another farm before the applicable state agencies even arrived to verify their departure.
Though green-carders were legally enjoined against working in a strike situation, they were free to work if no strike had been certified.
...it simply defied all logic for a picker to go out on strike. However grandiose (by growers standards) a picker's hourly wage, his annual income was barely at subsistence level, if indeed that high.
Given that picking is one of the most miserable jobs known to man, it is usually - for whatever social or cultural reasons - the best a picker can hold. So no matter how much he favored the union, he would have had to be a sainted fanatic to go on strike and further heighten both his own and his family's level of misery. Chavez didn't recognize that he was beat and tried to stop stores from buying the Guimarra label. He accomplished this boycott by using the media and Democrat politicians, like Robert Kennedy who were sympathetic to his cause.
Guimarra responded by "borrowing labels from other growers and using them in place of its own." (Dunne, 101)
By Chavez's count, Guimara was using 105 different labels by the end of 1967. He decided to retaliate and extended his boycott beyond Guimarra to include every California grower of table grapes.
Upset that the growers had not caved, many UFWOC members turned towards violence. Here's how Dunne describes it.
The imperceptible erosion of the growers' position was not particularly heady to union militants steeped in the literature of the headlines, the combat communiqués from the core cities. There was a new truculence in the air; packing crates were burned, tired slashed, scabs roughed up. Chavez was not unaware of the nascent violence.
Late in February 1968, he quietly began a penitential fast to redirect the movement back onto its nonviolent course. Only on the sixth day of the fast did he alert aides to what he was doing. No one had to be apprised of its exploitative potential. (Dunne, 101)
The reason that the myth of the UFWOC strike sells so well stems from the heartstrings it pulls. Dunne described the difficulties the growers experienced during the 1969 recession.
With inflation high and their own debts soaring, the increased likelihood that they would have to sell their property to larger agribusinesses. We know now that many of them did just that. Chavez drove them out of business.
Of course none of this is reported in the history of that period. Dunne explains that "in the summer of 1970, high interest rates did not sing like food stamps." (104)
The pressures against unionization provided too strong. Economics beat out social justice. Dunn describes it:
"In the narrowest sense, a union of farm workers can only lighten its members' burden of misery. The figures are simply too relentless. ... There is simply too little future in farm work. While farms grown bigger and productivity increases, the number of farm workers steadily declines. ...
Two years ago [written in '71], less than two percent of the wine grapes in Fresno County were harvested by machine; the estimate for 1971 is more than 30 percent... It is estimated that mechanical pickers will cost Fresno County farm workers nearly $2 million in wages during 1971 and that by 1973 some 4,500 heads of families will be displaced by machines." (110)
In effect, Chavez took farm workers out of the labor force by striking. This striking led to mechanization, which meant fewer workers would be hired and therefore the workers would remain poor all the while developing no marketable skills and starving because the growers wouldn't pay them.
And Chavez's friends would rough up somebody who wanted to make money for his family.
Yep, Claremont McKenna, the State of California, and six other states celebrate thuggery.
Is it too much to ask that the rest of the nation be exempt?

She quotes...' We need to work toward the goal of equalizing income, (didn't Marx say something like this?), in our country and at the same time limiting the amount the rich can invest.' (I am not rich, are you?)
When asked how these new tax dollars would be spent, she replied:
'We need to raise the standard of living of our poor, unemployed and minorities. For example, we have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need our help along with millions of unemployed minorities. Stock market windfall profits taxes could go a long way to guarantee these people the standard of living they would like to have as 'Americans'.'
